Taxpayer's Number and B.I.N.

NIF is used by all persons subject to taxation. CIF is used by companies and in UK English is Business Identification Number, or BIN.

VAT number

I would translate NIF and CIF as "VAT number".
By the way, at least in Spain, NIF stands for "Número de Identificación Fiscal" and CIF, for "Código de Identificación Fiscal". Both are basically the same, though the first one is used for people and the second one for companies.

Reference:
"What does VAT number mean?
Value Added Tax (VAT) is a tax on final consumption of certain goods and services in the home market, but is collected at each stage of production and distribution.· When an organisation registers with the government for VAT purposes it is issued with a VAT number. (Your company Finance Department can advise you of this).
This number should be quoted on purchasing documentation to enable the correct treatment of VAT when invoicing occurs."
