Spanish term

graneo

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Highway maintenance
This seems to be a particularly Mexican word. I have asked this question before, but nobody at the time had a suitable answer.

I'm going on context. The diccionary gives "granulation", but a lot of it is associated with photographs, although I can imagine a manual granulation (from your previous question).

In terms of your context, there is (also in the dictionary) "graining", which involves the classification of pebbles according to size (mainly by sieving). This led me to think of gravel.
