"Ondicula" is Latin and its literal translation is "wavelet". Wavelets are used in the mathematical analysis of seismic signals. Perhaps some mathematicians could describe it more technically. See the link below. Also, a search for "ondicula" on Google.com will bring you to some Spanish links for "ondicula", describing essentially the same thing.

not Latin

My first answer was partly in error; "ondicula" is not Latin, but Spanish. The Latin word would be "undicula". It's still a wavelet, however.
