Hi everyone! I'm new here and this is my first post, so if this is not the right place to ask this kind of questions, please tell me.

My question is if somebody could come with a translation for the Spanish term "cancha dividida". Here is the meaning of the term in Spanish:

Los juegos deportivos de cancha dividida se caracterizan porque los jugadores o bandos contrarios se sitúan frente a frente en espacios diferenciados y separados por una red (raya, cuerda o espacio muerto) con el objetivo de lanzar o golpear un móvil por encima de ésta, de forma que caiga o muera en el campo contrario o resulte difícil su devolución (Méndez, 2003).

I was thinking of "divided court", but it sounds like a loan translation to me. Any help?

By the way, I'm translating the specific competences of a sport subject taught at university. It's about a valencian sport discipline called Pilota Valenciana. One of the sentences goes like this: Juegos de invasión y de cancha dividida. This sentence is inside a group called "La táctica del juego de la Pilota Valenciana". But I'm affraid there's no more context. Hope it can help!
