Spanish to English Other Sports / Fitness / Recreation Cycling
From a report on a bicycle damaged as a result of an accident.

How could you put this in authentic cycling-speak?
Many thanks

off of its normal course at the level of the middle chain wheel

The gears at the front are called the chain wheels. Most bikes have two or three chain wheels. The ones at the back are called freewheels.
