This is from a contemporary novel by a Spanish author. The person speaking is a female computer hacker and best friend of the heroine. She's talking to her friend about reincarnation:

"Si me cuesta creer lo de la reencarnación, es porque todas las que la defendéis, habéis sido reinas en otras vidas, habéis sido santas, personajes ilustres. ¿Qué pasa? ¿Que los pobres no se reencarnan? Yo debo de ser la única que me reencarno en la ***pringada de turno***."

"If it's hard for me to believe the stuff about reincarnation, it's because all you women who argue in favor of it were queens in other lives, or saints, or important and famous people. So what's the deal? Poor people don't get reincarnated? I must be the only..."
