La ciudad se encuentra conformada por dos zonas geomorfológicas, una plana en la parte central, norte y occidental, que concentra la mayor parte de la población y en la que predominan los valles aluviales y terrazas del río Bogotá y sus afluentes; y otras de relieve montañoso, ubicadas a los costados oriental (Cerros Orientales), sur y sur-occidental (localidades de Ciudad Bolívar y Sumapaz) y nor-occidental (cerros de Suba). I agree that inColombia chircal refers to brickworks (brickyards), but in Bolivia it seems to refer to a type of tree 'chirca'.
