Buenas tardes, estoy con la traducción de un PSUR y en la parte de descripción de los estudios clínicos me encuentro con:

Creo según entiendo, que sería efficacy acá porque es en un estudio, pero como no estoy seguro... gracias por la ayuda

: Correct, but it is not so straightforward. "efficacy" is how well a drug works (without balancing its use with side effects, risks, patient nonadherence, etc.). "Effectiveness" is how well a drug works in a real popn. considering side effects, risks, etc

: This trial is interested in "efficacy", it won't be considering a real population, underlying diseases, side effects, adherence, etc. This sort of trial only focuses on how well the drug works physiologically = the "efficacy". Vaccines are different.
