Spanish to English Medical Medical: Cardiology discharge report
This acronym is listed on a hospital discharge report (Spain). Patient is seen for heart problems, and is diabetic.

LAFB [left anterior fascicular block]

I presume HBAHH = hemibloqueo anterior [izquierdo] del haz de His
Peer comment(s):

agree Joseph Tein : Have you seen the new Cosnautas site? This is what Navarro says about HBA: -- hemibloqueo anterior (del haz de His) -- so this would be just Anterior Hemiblock? // ¡Gracias por explicarmelo!

Yep, I guess "HBAHH" is just an expanded form of the same acronym. LAFB and anterior hemiblock are one and the same (I prefer LAFB).

Extremely useful resource(s)

For years I've been using the tremedica site to look up Spanish medical acronyms. Now it has been updated and renamed (Cosnautas) with thousands more entries. Links to both are below:

tremedica can be accessed directly online; Cosnautas requires a very quick registration, but is free to use.

agree Yvonne Becker : I am in another list called MedTrad and Fernando Navarro sent an e-mail to tell us about the new edition of his dictionary. I am fascinated reviewing it

Hi Yvonne. I first found out about Cosnautas on the ATA Medical Division list ... probably where you saw it first also, right?
agree Filippe Vasconcellos de Freitas Guimarães : Emma Goldsmith tipped me off to Cosnautas and I subscribed right away. Searchable access to the "Libro Rojo" is priceless :)

It's good that we can share resources with one another so quickly via the internet.
