In Spanish TV production jargon this term refers to the piece of video material that is additionally added to the video clip for security purposes. That is to say, we are preparing a video clip of 1 minute duration, and we add 10 extra seconds of video (1:10 final duration) just in case we need that extra material during broadcast.
