@ Lydianette Where is this text from? Do you have more context, or an image perhaps? It must be referring to 'canvas', which in fact should be 'lona'.

I think this might possibly be plastic canvas and that 'cambe' is some kind of spanglish.

plastic canvas

"Plastic canvas" is just right as suggested by Lisa.

The correct term in Spanish would be "malla canvas". The somewhat distorted term "malla camba" probably derives from how the word is pronounced, plus the dropping of the final "s". In some dialects of Spanish (Mexican at least), the consonant combinations "nv" and "mb" are pronounced the same /mb/.
