In a Spanish court case, the prosecutor lists the persons indicted, and for one of them it puts only:
PERSON'S NAME, REBELDE
and then goes on to the next person. All the others have more information about their criminal records, DOB, etc. I see that "rebeldía" can mean "in contempt of court", but I am not sure that this is what is meant here. Please help.
