depreciate assets on a reducing balance basis

This is the opposite of straight-line depreciation, where the assets are reduced by a fixed percentage each year.

curve line depreciation for assets

This method uses a curve line depreciation for assets taking as a base their reposition value.
Instead of a straight line depreciation.

Also this curve method is called "declining balance method".
Another method used is the "sum-of-the-years-digits"
