That's it!
Jenette Holyoak (asker) Dec 7, 2005:
yes, I saw that about the program in Argentina but how does it fit in an email about an insurance payment?? It says:

Hi. I assume your email is from Argentina, as this is a TV show from my country (Notice that it is "era una jodita para VideoMatch"). This phrase is +- similar to "You´ve been Punk´d" (TV show starring Ashton Kutcher) or Boiling Point (I think that´s the name, in MTV). It´s used when sbd plays a joke on sbd else. I hope this clarifies the meaning.

OK, so I´d just say the person who wrote it meant "Don´t panick, it´s a joke, this is the third down payment/advance of goods".

she kicked ass on "VideoMatch" sales or ...

She kicked us at VideoMatch (the video game or game show).
I don´t really know what VideoMatch is, so it´s hard for me to tell, but "ser un jodido en algo" is slang for "to be excellent at doing something". I´m sure one of these two suggestions fits well here.

This was a bit for VideoMatch

What does the rest of that sentence say? Because the reference is definitely from the show.

Was this an email from an Argentine coworker of yours? It sounds like it is making passing reference to the show while talking about something work-related.

agree Cecilia Della Croce : yes, prank or practical joke. I'm from Argentina and you & Lorena are right

this was a prank for VideoMatch

It probably said JODA and not JODIDA (noun versus adjective). That´s what they call a prank or practical joke here in Argentina.
JODIDO/A is when you get screwed over.
Peer comment(s):

agree Cecilia Della Croce : yes, I'm from Argentina and you & Lorena are right

agree María Cielo Pipet : exacto.
