see explanation below:

the outcome/result causes/raises/inspires a certain distrust/mistrust (of)

una cierta = a certain

mistrust, distrust (vv.)
Mistrust means “to doubt, to lack confidence in,” as in I mistrust his ability to persuade her. Distrust means much the same but adds suspicion to the mix: He distrusts her because he thinks she’ll cheat him.
http://www.bartleby.com/68/6/3906.html

Distrust implies an absence of trust: He has an innate distrust of foreigners.
Mistrust, the weaker word, implies a hesitation to trust: He lacked confidence, and mistrusted his own judgment in such things

mistrust or distrust will depend on your context.

the outcome raises some mistrust

I would say it like this
Peer comment(s):

neutral sassa : Tu frase es correcta pero me parece que "some" sería "una (desconfianza)". aquí se refiere a una desconfianza concreta ("cierta") y creo que se debe usar "a certain". salu2 :)

the outcome raises some doubt

I think "desconfianza" here simply means 'lack of confidence' -- it's not as strong as 'mistrust'.
