Hi,
I wonder can anyone help me with finding an accurate translation of "la zona baja e inmediata de la fortificacion" in the following sentence.
"...el castillo dejará de tener funciones militares, lo que permitió que la población torreña se desplazase a la zona baja e inmediata de la antigua fortificación. "
They're talking about the Castillo de Torre del Mar.
I have translated it provisionally as "the area below and next to the old fortification" but I'm not quite sure if this is capturing the meaning of the original.
