Latch Check Switch
The latch check switch allows the circuit breaker to be used for instantaneous reclosing. The contacts of the latch check switch connect in series with the closing coil. When the guide cam moves out of its normal position, it activates the latch check switch. The closing circuit cannot be energized until the guide cam fully returns to its normal position and the mechanism is in position to allow a close operation.
