The idea is that the average mark for the "Materia de Ingles" comes from these subjects - at least that is my understanding - a list of those terms which precede the asterisk would help as a context.

Thank you Jamespeel. I wish i had that info but there are no terms preceding the asterisk in the source. There is no asterisk beside any of the subjects listed...

"Promedio" cuando se refiere a cuestiones educativas en inglés es "Grade point average (GPA)". Lo común es usar la abreviación.
