Spanish term

Certificado de vigencia de poderes del representante legal

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Invitation to bid

I was thinking powers of attorney, but I'm not convinced. I would appreciate any insight/suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

Certificate/certification of power of attorney might be an option.

(AmE/CanE) Certificate of subsistence of the legal representative's powers

I'm unsure from the map of the asker's location whether she is the US side in Seattle or the Canadian side in Victoria or Vancouver.

Obviously, the other respondents aren't bothered by this localis/zation point , whilst I feel subsistence of the powers - namely subsisting and conintuing authprities vs. a valid PoA mean two different things Transatlantically.
Peer comment(s):

agree Robert Carter : Yes, subsistence is an appropriate choice for vigencia here.

Thanks. Continuance doesn't quite work here.

Certificate for the force/effect/validity of the powers of the legal representative

You can put whatever you want force, effect or validity

neutral philgoddard : This is not good English and doesn't merit a 5.

certification of valid power of attorney

Yes, your suggestion is right. It's not the power of attorney itself, but certification by the authorities that it exists.

You could also do a more literal translation, "powers to act as the company's legal representative", which is fine too, but "power of attorney" is more concise.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Jesus Duran Fernandez : The legal representative can be any person who has the powers

Yes, so it sounds like you agree with me.
neutral AllegroTrans : This may well not be a POA but simply a written authority// sorry no, a simple written authority is not a POA - a POA must have specified wording and is signed as a deed - check your law Mr. Phil

That's what power of attorney means. It's a written authority to act on someone else's behalf.// I granted power of attorney to a friend in the UK. It was a single paragraph in my words, no lawyers involved, and the banks and tax authorities accepted it.

Certification as to the validity of the legal representative's powers

This is a certificate to show the powers granted to the legal representative have not been amended or transferred and are still valid.
