Discussion

amendozachisum Jun 28, 2010:
shoes? Playeras may be used in some countries as beach shoes. However, I would go with T-shirts, because it makes more sense. Lab coats, at least in Mexico are also used by personnel in some areas, like restaurants, cleaning, laboratories, hospitals, and even in some production areas or by staff servicing clients, and not necessarily for doctors only.
Hope it helps.
Catherine Gilsenan (asker) Jun 27, 2010:
More context Thank you for your help so far. However, I can understand promotional t-shirts, but I don't understand about the footwear. It doesn't seem anything to do with the beach. In fact, the activity to promote the campaign is centred around racetracks.

Proposed translations

garments (see below) / beach shoes of staff and HR

"Bata" is usually a dressing gown, robe; housecoat; or bathrobe.
If these are doctors or similar, they may be white coats or lab coats, so basically we need more context about where this comes from.
"Playera" a: (zapatilla) canvas shoe, beach shoe
b: (Méx) (camiseta) T-shirt

lab coats/T-shirts for staff and Human Resources

For Conferences, company events, etc., it is usual for companies to provide lab coats and/or T-shirts with company logos or some motivational phrase printed or embroideres on them.
