Customers claiming guarantee should provide an original serialized invoice as proof of purchase. If customers fail to produce such evidence, NEC will allow three (3) additional months from the date of delivery from NEC to the direct (first) channel in addition to the standard guarantee period.
1. Before making a claim under this Guarantee, the Customer should first refer to the \"troubleshooting/support\" section of the User\'s Manual to see if the problem can be resolved from there
3. Upon diagnosis of the defect or failure, NEC or its agents will validate the Guarantee claim, issue the Customer with an authorization for repair (\"AFR\") number and make arrangements to carry out the service chosen by the Customer.
6. The Customer should quote his AFR number in further dealings with NEC in connection with this Guarantee claim.
