Slovak term

odberateľová stanica

Slovak to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation
Elektrická prípojka vysokého a veľmi vysokého napätia sa končí pri vzdušnom vedení kotvovými izolátormi na odberateľovej stanici

could it be a transformer station ?
I also have an 'elektrická stanica', which in the context would be a substation.

There might be a few other electricity-related queries to come!

Discussion

Peter Kissik Jul 10, 2009:
Customer's transformer... You are right, it transforms HV into LV and belongs to the customer, who is responsible for servicing etc.
Gerry Vickers (asker) Jul 10, 2009:
yes - I think your suggestion makes sense, Peter, but I would use 'customer' for 'odberateľ' in line with the EU directive and standard industry jargon. I would like to know, therefore, whether this is a standard facility on a customer's premises? I suppose it would have to be to transform the HV into LV. Cheers.

Here: (before the) consumer's transformer station

consumer station

This was the term I used on a 100 page long regulation, and I haven't heard any complaints about it yet.

"Substation" seems like it would work too, though.
