Я тут засомневался: а правомерно ли будет употребить "the top of the tower"? Ведь речь идет не об открытой верхней площадке, а о ЗАКРЫТОМ помещении на самом верху башни. Вот если бы он на кровлю взобрался, тогда бы он был "on the very top". А как же быть в данном случае?

: Yeah, in English we wouldn't distinguish between these two kinds of "tops" and the "very top" could be inside the tower as well.

Андрей, башня закрытое помещение, нет никокого спора. Но речь идет не о каком-то помещении на верху башни. То же там есть окно не значит, что это окно комнаты.
