Russian term

фаршануть кожу

Russian to English Other Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts) Tattoing
Translating a review of a new tattoo machine. The tattoo artist is saying that the machine works well, but sometimes the line isn't drawn cleanly because he might have... "фаршануть кожу"

It's a term used online among tattoo artists but does anyone know what this means in English?

URGENT

TIA

Oh, that makes more sense now. It definitely is about damaging skin area.
Probably... ...I could've spoiled the skin a little.
eduard_ Nov 11, 2016:
Yes, it does sound like a damage. If you don't get a confirmation here then you probably be better off asking this on a tattoo message board.
Sofia Gutkin (asker) Nov 11, 2016:
Quote from the video It's a video, so I'll try to quote it "Лайнер однопроходный, тащит замечательно ... Да, были в некоторых местах у меня, конечно, определенные косячки, но они наверно зависят от моей техники работы... Так, я банально, мог где-то немножечко фаршануть кожу..."
eduard_ Nov 11, 2016:
I see here two possibilities

1. The line isn't drawn clearly so he needs to make improvements manually, that's the common usage of фаршануть.

2. Or maybe it's a jargon word specific to tattooing meaning damaging the skin to the point that it looks like minced meat.

machine works well, but sometimes the line isn't drawn cleanly because he might have... "фаршануть кожу -- can you give us the full sentence? I just don't fully understand why you have 'have' there with 'might'.

Could you provide a little bit more context in Russian?

improve skin quality

in general it would refer to updating something, but in this case it's all about improving. Quality or to be more exact the tone of the skin.
Note from asker:
I'm pretty sure it's used in a negative sense i.e. damaging the skin somehow.
