Russian term
технологический раствор (in context)
Russian to English

Drilling, coiled tubing
In a contract for the supply of coiled tubing equipment for use in the oil & gas industry:
койлтюбинговая установка, предназначенная для закачки ***технологического раствора*** в пласт
Sources in Russian give a wide range of ideas (but no translations) for the term, and I have not managed to find an obvious equivalent in English. One coiled tubing website mentions 'fracturing fluid', and a petroleum industry dictionary gives an explanation of this term that makes it seem likely. Can anyone confirm this, or would simply 'fluid' be sufficient?

process fluid
IMHO something neutral like process fluid or even just fluid should be sufficient for the context. Coiled tubing has a variety of applications. Hydraulic fracturing is but one of the many. This fluid can be pretty much anything.

Comment: "Thank you; and thank you also to Zaur and Tuvaliev. I believe all answers to be correct, and 'process fluid' is nice and general (as is 'fluid')"

fracturing fluid
I believe you've unswered your own question. As far as I know in this industry the ìfracturing fluid' is generally used to describe a solution which is backfilled under the pressure into stratum.

Fracturing is a process of injecting large volumes of fluid into a well at high pressures to crack rock formations and create fissures for increased production of oil and gas.

: Injecting fracturing fluid into the bed - this seems to be the context. See http://www.technicoilcorp.com/pdf_annual/TECAR04final.pdf
