I vaguely remember an Englishman in London saying smth. like "Nyam-nyam time!" just befor being served his meal. Do they really say it this way or am I just fantasizing? ... and if they do, how do they spell this "nyam-niam"?

We do you 'yum' to signify that something, & it is generally applied to food, is delicious.
a: What's for dinner to night, darling?
b:Well dear, it's steak & new potatoes. Is that okay by you?
a:Yeah, yum! (or yummy).
Personally,I've never heard of nyam-nyam time. However, I suppose that 'Yum-yum' time is a way of saying it's time to eat!
