An example, though different: рефлекс коленный маятникообразный
Медицинская энциклопедия. patellar pendulum-like reflex — Медицина: коленный маятникообразный рефлекс. Of course the -образный makes the difference here. This in simply the knee-jerk reflex: tap the knee while sitting and it swings like a pendulum. There are horizontal pendulums, e.g., in seismology. I wasn't criticizing; I was merely inidicating that your reference, and perhaps mine too, was not applicable in the given case.

you´re right, Slep; the choice of my link was not a lucky one. All I intended to Point out that there are other alternatives to pendular. I had tried to provide a convincing link for pendulum-like but, alas, failed to find one.
Jack slep Mar 25, 2013:
Ellen, your source states "This research focuses on the simulation of the musculo-skeletal function of the lower leg, based on the Pendulum Reflex Test data. The developed simulation of the lower leg can then be utilized in the design of new controllers, to be used in the control of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)." But the Asker's reflex consists in a change in direction of the head and torso in the horizontal plane. I'm trying to picture a body swinging horizontally. I think I'd use pendulum-like reflex, which does exist.
