Does anyone know what this abbreviation means - its in the bottom, right-hand corner of a marriage certificate.

I assume it's something similar to Gosznak

GOZNAK Printing Works it should be then (if they call themselves like this). But I would not include it into the marriage certificate translation.

I would consider GOZNAK Printing Facility in Moscow - but strongly doubt you need to include in into your translation of Marriage Certificate. Myself - I never do it. GOZNAK just made this form like many others. Same as putting the grade of paper used:-)

Alexander, with abbreviations the askers generally seek to know what it stands for, rather than the actual translation. You're right though, in this case I simply forgot that it's Ru-En :)
