Nu putem utiliza "terminated" deoarece acesta implica anularea contractului, nu terminarea de drept a acestuia

: ba dimpotriva, terminated este termenul. stingere inseamna incetare. avocatii pot utiliza zeci de variante de exprimare, intelesul e acelasi. iar terminate nu inseamna/implica anularea, care are alt cuvant alocat in engleza.

Legat de contracte, stins, nu inseamna neaparat "incheiat". De aceea propun setoff/set-off. Dar, depinde de context ?!

Dar, pentru settle multe refeninte in engleza dau: stabilirea contractului/intelegerilor/conditiilor.
so, "terminate" pentru contract si "settle" "pay off", "acquit", "liquidate" pentru debts, bills, etc. settle the agreement - merge, dar ce zic si altii?
