Labor legislation in Brazil requires employers to notify employees 30 days in advance before their termination (aviso prévio). I have called this "advance notice", but I do like the "severance notice" suggested in another answer (kudos!), but would suggest adding the term "advance", since this better describes that the employee must be notified in advance. In this case, workers that have been with the company for many years get a "special" advance notice, with two days added to the required period for each year worked.
