Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (3): Darius Saczuk, Jerzy CertTrans, George BuLah (X)

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Darius Saczuk May 25, 2015:
No problem.
Anna Kaczor (asker) May 25, 2015:
OK. Thanks.
Darius Saczuk May 25, 2015:
It is not a junior college. Again, look at the footnote.
Anna Kaczor (asker) May 25, 2015:
The problem is that if I translate "medical high school" they probably won't accept her to RN to BSN program before they even look at her transcript and I believe she had enough courses to qualify. And she has been working as RN here in the US for a number of years. So we need a translation that would be truthful - of course- but at the same time did not put off college admission office. Could LM in this case be compared to a junior college? Let's say Junior College of Medical Professions?
Darius Saczuk May 25, 2015:
Footnote The footnote on your document states that this certificate/diploma "entitles the bearer to apply for admission to studies at the college/university level - o przyjęcie na studia wyższe. As such, it indicates that the bearer is a high school graduate. As they say in NYC, you can't beat City Hall..
Darius Saczuk May 25, 2015:
I'd go for a "medical high school". We're dealing here with 2 totally different educational systems, so you will never find a true equivalent. US colleges and evaluation agencies accept "verbatim" translations. I always translate it as a "medical high school diploma". Any attempt at an interpretation of the original document will cause your translation to be "shot down" by the evaluator.
Anna Kaczor (asker) May 25, 2015:
A graduate of "Liceum Medyczne" has obtained RN license in the US, now she has to apply to a college to do RN to BSN. We don't really want to translate LM into "Medical High School". So the target market is a college in the United States.
Darius Saczuk May 25, 2015:
What is the target market?

A high school diploma is the academic school leaving qualification awarded upon high school graduation. The high school diploma is typically studied for over the course of four years, from Grade 9 to Grade 12. The diploma is typically awarded by the school in accordance with the requirements of the local state or provincial government. Requirements for earning the diploma vary by jurisdiction, and there may be different requirements for different streams or levels of high school graduation. Typically they include a combination of selected coursework meeting specified criteria for a particular stream and acceptable passing grades earned on the state exit examination.
