Hei!
I am translating the following text:
"Partus med gemelli innlagt [] Sykehus i uke 29+5, blir modnet og satt i gang"
Can anyone explain the term "uke 29+5"? I understand the twins are premature (was the onset of labour induced, for some reason?), but the "+5" is not clear to me.
Any and all help gratefully received!
Mvh
Alison.

Norwegian term (edited):
week 29+5
Selected
29 weeks and 5 days
Norwegian baby forums use the "+5" etc. all the time. I don't know if I have seen that in English – I guess I was only on Norwegian forums when I was pregnant.

Note from asker:
Thanks, Elisabeth and Michele. That did cross my mind, but I thought this seemed very early to induce labour (sadly, one of the babies didn't survive). |

Explanation
It means that the woman was pregnant 29 weeks + 5 days. So almost 30 weeks
I am sure because I also gave birth at 29w+5d
