父母との続柄の欄に 「嫡出子」「非嫡出子」とあるのですが両親が結婚している場合とそうでない場合の区別にあたる用語がありますか・・?wedlock childなどいう言い方をしてもよいのでしょうか・・・? 宜しくお願いします。

child by birth
This is just an idea based on the way we would say "natural or birth parents" as opposed to "adoptive parents". Of course we wouldn't say "birth child" or "natural child", but rather "child by birth" in the effort to sound more pc. It is not as legal sounding as "legitimate child", but it sounds softer, so I guess it depends on your document as to which would be more appropriate.

: Hi Ruth. Illegitimate and adopted are 2 different things. A child is 'legitimate' if the parents were married (to each other!) at the time of the baby's birth. These days, many countries/people think nothing of having children out of wedlock.

Yes, of course that is correct, I was just trying to explain my train of thought, not the meaning, however, I see the point you are making and that my idea would bring a different nuance to the translation.
