Italian term

accelerazione centripetal acceleration del pneumatico nell’i-esimo rotolamento

Italian to English Tech/Engineering
components of an equation describing the mechanical behaviour of a tyre under stress.
Centripetal accelaration of the tyure to the i th rotation.. something along those lines?

centripetal acceleration of the tyre during i-th rolling test (or possibly i-th rotation)

Not at all sure about this one, Sandy. Centripetal acceleration is definitely right, but I haven't seen the rest of the expression before in relation to tyres, so I can but guess.

Rotalamento may refer to rolling tests (you don't give enough context for me to be sure), otherwise I suppose rotation is possible, but it seems strange that it is rotolamento and not rotazione in Italian.

I imagine that the i-th rolling test is one of a series (that has been assigned the letter i). You could also say "rolling test i" if you want to get rid of the awkward "i-th".

agree Gian : rotolamento è il girare su una superficie, quindi con contatto

you're right - rotation doesn't imply contact. Thanks, Giancarlo :-)

This is certainly from a doc. about tyres, in fact its from one of your clients. It's part of a patent on devices which monitor tyre behaviour. Best regards, Sandy"
