Hooked prow

This should refer to the shape of the front of the boat. If you have a picture of the ship, you should be able to confirm it
Prua is the bow (whole front of the boat)/prow (front portion above the water line)
Rostrata is a Latin term for "beaked, curved, hooked, with a crooked point, or with a curved front"
So, the prow may have an upward (or downward) curve/curl
Roman boats were also known for having "spurs" that were called Rostre
