I have these two terms in the same file: Intestatore e Intestatrice
One of them is "facing device" (according to the client) but I'm not quite which one I shuold call this way.
The context is:
Intestatrice:
Nella fase di ricerca della barra, durante il movimento, il sensore {XXX'} (Intestatrice) non ha rilevato la presenza della barra.
or
Verificare la corretta impostazione del parametro di velocità di rotazione mandrino (RPM) nella sezione dell'intestatrice.
Intestatore:
Appare quando l'intestatore è nella modalità manuale ed effettua un movimento.
or
La modalità "Programmi" Scarica/Salva, permette di scaricare nel Plc dell'Intestatore i programmi completi di settaggio provenienti della scheda SD collegata alla tastiera Touch.

Discussion
The intestatore could be an edge trimmer, the end trimmer trims the ends, the edge trimmer trims the edges of the bars, or they could be using the male/female versions of basically the same word to mean the end trimmer for the other end of the bar. I'd ask the client what exactly the two machines are used for.
