I didn't know where to put this, so sorry if this is the wrong place!
It comes from an annual report of a clinical trial, containing info on how many subjects were followed up, how many dropouts etc.
NELL'ANNO DI RIFERIMENTO STIMA PUNTUALE (prendere come misura puntuale il 15.12 dell'anno di riferimento ed indicare in quel preciso momento):
no. soggetti in trattamento
no. soggetti in follow-up
I have translated "stima punctuale" as "point estimate".
So I think it's saying take the 15 Dec of that year as the benchmark but I'm not sure.

I agree with your suggested translation. Puntuale means at a specific point in time. I suggest simply "estimate" for "stima puntuale" - I don't think people will understand "point estimate".
