In a lawyer's letter to the defaulting party to a contract. Here listing documents like arts. of incorporation etc. that haven't yet been provided:
"Vi ricordiamo che i documenti di specie devono essere notarizzati, legalizzati ed apostillati".
Postilla is side note. Could this be annotated? So, notarised, authenticated (?) and annotated?

Hi Patricia,
It's - to add a marginal recommendation to/to add a marginal note to.
A special stamp done on the back of the doc in question, it is official, has wax on it, can be done at the trade industry but that depends on the country where it is done. Consulates usually request it these days so any consulate can give you more information.

: The reference is definitely to an "Apostille" (a sort of international stamp of certification) although I have seen them on the front of documents as well!

But where I used to work they used to "endorse" payment drafts, by which they meant stamp and sign on the back.
