Believe it or not from cured ham processing! Do they really suntan these things? Seriously though, can anyone confirm that we UVA rooms in the cured ham process, seeing as how Google coughs up nothing. Thanks SUE

Look under the "Light" section, where it is explained that UVA has been used as a method for decontaminating the surface of meats, but apparently doesn't work unless there is direct exposure (bacteria in tiny cracks would be safe). Perhaps that's why you turn up so few hits?
