re-evaluation??????? This must be an increase in value. Re-evaluation does not exist in financial statements except in the case mentioned by Jim. The opposite is impairment. These are tangible fixed assets whose value has been measured and any increases in book value have been posted/carried up to the maximum limit of their value-in-use or Net Present Value (NPV). I think you mean this. Before attemping this kind of translation, may I suggest you read a few translated Italian GAAP financial statements and notes published on the web - taking all due precautions - for the type of company you are dealing with (srl or spa), whose accounting policies adopt the Italian civil code for the presentation of statutory financial statements. (it's like "painting by numbers" - you can't go wrong!) - Alison
