Italian term

copiglia

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial perno vs copiglia
From an indutrial manual:
As I have always translated perno as 'pin' and copilgia as 'split pin', I do not understand what the copiglia could be in this case?

More context:

The machinery is a screener (it 'sifts' gravel, building demolition materials....)

split pin

it's a split pin which keeps the larger pin in place (held on by a chain so it doesn't get lost)
