Logic would suggest "steering wheels" but then how do I distinguish from "steering wheel" for "volante" in the same document? There is already a similar entry but there doesn't seem to be a suitable answer in my case for two distinct terms to be used. Thanks!

Context: Come è noto, un tipico apparato di sterzatura idrostatica prevede che le ruote sterzanti di un veicolo vengano sterzate mediante un attuatore idraulico, ad esempio un martinetto idraulico a doppio effetto, il quale è collegato con un serbatoio dell’olio attraverso una pompa ed un’unità di guida idraulica (comunemente detta idroguida).

agree Kimberly Wastler : Just remember that in automotive contexts they talk about just the wheels and either 2-wheel or 4-wheel steering. You are describing a basic power steering
