The phrase occurs in the description of a project in the building sector: "copertura in acciaio e vetri e **chiusure perimetrali** in facciate". Any ideas?

Don't think it can be "fencing" as the context refers to a finished building and in fact, the more I read it the more it seems like two alternative ways of saying "facciate"! I'm asking the client for further clarification, then I'll get back to you.

chiuso, non costituito o meglio, it means that the perimeter is interrupted at some points, and that the facciate are used to fill in the gaps, i.e. to close the perimeter.

perimetro chiuso da (costituito da) facciate imo, it simply means:
- sopra= acciaio e vetri
- ai lati= facciate
(i'd rather struggle with "facciate"... what else if not facciate i can't imagine... but that's a problem of mine :)
