presentazione studio

Italian to English Art/Literary Cinema, Film, TV, Drama
E' consuetudine, quando una compagnia teatrale sta creando un nuovo spettacolo, presentarne in anteprima un primo estratto (detto "studio") di circa 20-30 minuti, in genere di fronte ad un pubblico limitato e selezionato di critici teatrali, direttori artistici ecc. che possano fornire un parere critico e suggerimenti per lo sviluppo del lavoro.

Studio presentation? Is this the text you're translating, or your own explanation? I ask because the text doesn't actually contain the phrase.
