Indonesian term

Sal.

Indonesian to English Law/Patents Law (general) Legal documents
An Indonesian legal document headed "TURUNAN / SALINAN" includes the text
"dicatat di Kepaniteraan Perdata *** pada Meja Kedua dengan Register No : 123 / Sal. J / 20**" [abridged & edited]
in which:
*** denotes text I've redacted for this post;
"123" is a handwritten number (not the real one);
both "J" (a letter, not the real one) and the year "20**" are manually typed in;
and everything else is a pro forma pre-printed template.

So is "Sal." here an abbreviation of 'salinan'? And if so, how could it be rendered in English? Just "copy"? Or "version"? Or is something else, such as "file"/"register"/"folder" better? Or is the meaning something totally different?

Note: this has absolutely nothing to do with Salatiga, to the best of my knowledge.

By the way, I just noticed that the letter corresponds to the month in which the document was (re)issued. I.e. for "J" it would be the month of October (10th letter & month). But this might be purely a coincidence.
