Change log

Jun 12, 2009 11:51: Suyash Suprabh changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): C.M. Rawal, Pundora, Suyash Suprabh

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Usha Shankar Jun 12, 2009:
Rawalji is very correct, but we shall also make the new comer aware that he or she should use Kudoz for professional exchange of question and answers. So Sejalvarsha, we request you to consider the questions before posting them in Kudos.
Ramesh Bhatt Jun 12, 2009:
Rawal Sahab is Right Kudos shouldn't be used for a language-learning forum. And non-professional questions should be classified as such; in no case they be passed for professional ones.
Sushan Harshe Jun 12, 2009:
Rawal ji, Aap sahi hain. You are correct, Mr. Rawal
C.M. Rawal Jun 12, 2009:
Thank you for supporting for a right cause. Thank you, Nitin. First, let's all mark these questions as non-PRO questions. Then we should see that the questions asked today by this newcomer are withdrawn by the moderator so that no one is benefitted or deprived by answering or not answering such questions.
Nitin Goyal Jun 12, 2009:
I agree with Mr Rawal. In fact, now I realized this. I won't answer any more questions like this.
C.M. Rawal Jun 12, 2009:
Who is this newcomer, a question-bomb? I strongly feel that this professional forum is not meant for asking or answering such rudimentary questions. You can't term these questions as 'PRO'. It is a non-PRO and essentially an unprofessional question.
