Hebrew term

tay lo da

Non-PRO Hebrew to English Other Tourism & Travel
I heard it spoken in a conversation and wish to know what it means

Discussion

Will Matter Mar 11, 2005:
Are you sure this wasn't "toda raba" instead? If so, it means "Thank you (very much)".

No such thing in Hebrew. Could have been "ata lo yodea"

If what you heard was "ata lo yodea" that would mean "you don't know". As it stands, it means nothing in Hebrew

Hebrew term (edited): maybe 'day lo toda'?

enough, no thanks

You might say this to someone offering you more coffee (or even soup or cake or whatever).

Maybe what was heard was the word תולדה (tolada)

this could have one of sevearal meanings for example: result, consequence, corollary, outcome.
