In this church, the hero of Greek Independence George Karaiskakis was baptised. The church was originally part of a monastery, and here also the **martyr** Konstantine, protector of the village and local hero,was baptised and Saint Seraphim was ordinated.
Έξω από το χωριό βρίσκεται η εκκλησία του Αγ. Νικολάου (τέλη 16ου-αρχές 17ου αι.), ιστορική τρίκλιτη βασιλική με ξυλόγλυπτο τέμπλο, στην οποία βαφτίστηκε ο ήρωας Γ. Καραϊσκάκης, ο **νεομάρτυρας** Κων/νος (προστάτης του χωριού και τόπος μαρτυρίας του) και όπου επίσης χειροτονήθηκε διάκονος ο Άγ. Σεραφείμ, η οποία αρχικά λειτουργούσε ως μοναστήρι
