German term

Bezeichnung

German to English Other Wine / Oenology / Viticulture labelling / designation / appellation
Seit August 2009 gilt in ganz Europa eine von der EU neu geschaffene Kategorie namens „geschützte geografische Angabe“ (ggA) – auf Französisch: „Indication Géographique Protégée“ (IGP). Die meisten Landweine in Frankreich übernehmen in Zukunft diese Bezeichnung.
I'm wondering if "label" is the most suitable translation for "Bezeichnung" , in this context?

Denomination

Bei Weinen spricht man meines Wissens von "Denomination", wenn von der Ursprungsbezeichnung die Rede ist. (Wie im Italienischen: Denominazione di Origine Controllata DOC)
Example sentence:

The official and clear split of the two wine denominations Chianti and Chianti Classico is finally happening.
