Discussion
The term does appear to be correctly written with a single "m", as Steffen pointed out.
The "Ernst Wörterbuch der inustriellen Technik" renders it as
"Rollschemel m (Bahn) / wagon carrier truck".
"Flatcar" (not to be confused with "flatbed car/wagon") does however appear to be the correct translation in this case.
